In my last FB live I focussed on generosity. Why is this an attitude of mindfulness? Because all the evidence shows that we are generous to others it helps us feel good. But does being generous only apply to other people? Well the opposite of generosity is being mean or selfish……And I have a mantra that I have been telling people for ages….self care is never selfish
Making time for . mindful activities like qigong, meditation is an important part of self care. KIts a chance to be generous to yourself.
Why is this important? Well when you make time for yourself….you send a signal to yourself that you matter. When you tell yourself you don’t have the time….you are telling yourself YOU DON’T MATTER. Now how would you feel if another person said that to you? Pretty awful!
Being generous to yourself is not an added extra, not a luxury, its a necessity
